If you call yourself a fan of indie music, the annual Williamsburg Northside Festival should already be marked on your summer calendar. This year’s live music fest takes over almost every possible indoor and outdoor venue in Williamsburg. From June 6-12, the neighborhood’s already fiery music scene will go into overdrive as more than 400 bands bring their buzz-worthy sounds to every corner of the ‘burg. This year, alt darlings like Conor Oberst and Wolf Parade share the lineup with rising acts like Grouper and Psychic Ills. Highlights include performances from genre creators Brian Wilson and Grandmaster Flash. The fest also serves up group-breaking films and an innovative series of talks on everything from virtual reality to advertising and travel. Visit the website for schedules and venue locations.
